Jane Hahn had a cocktail party for our early-morning exercise group. We exercise at 6:50 a.m., but we had cocktails at 4:00. She served these asparagus wraps, which disappeared like magic. I had to get in there fast to get my share. Ruth
Jane's Asparagus Wraps
1 pkg phyllo (filo) dough (You will only use part of it for these wraps. Make some baklava or spinach pie later with the rest of it.)
As many asparagus spears as desired, raw
Grated Parmesan cheese
1. Lay out a sheet of phyllo.
2.
Spray with butter-flavored spray and sprinkle with the grated cheese.
3. Using a pizza cutter, cut the phyllo sheet into 4 pieces.
4. Roll one asparagus spear in a quarter-sheet of phyllo. Lay on a baking sheet.
5. Before, baking, spray all the spears with butter spray.
Bake at 375° for 15 minutes.
