"..a recipe is only a theme, which an intelligent cook can play each time with variation....

Hello and welcome to The Recipe Box—
That's my old recipe box up there on the top. It's spotted and stained with the years of Christmas Cookies and Birthday Cakes. There are recipes in there written in my mother's hand, my grandmother's hand, and the youthful scrawl of my daughters. It's a box of memories, and every one of those memories are on this website.
Most of the recipes on this website are from the memories and present day lives of other people. Whenever I knew the giver or provenance of a recipe, I've told you about it.
Below is a modern computer-driven recipe box. It has in it all the recipes on this website. Just click on a letter, and a page full of recipe choices will pop up. You'll find this recipe box on every page of the site.
I have also provided a choice of the more popular categories of recipes, if you wish to search that way. This list is on the top of some pages.
•Diabetic Recipes
•Low Calorie Recipes
•Recipes of the Month
•Traditional Family Recipes
•Vegetarian and Vegan Recipes
•Ruth's Diet Diaries
There are pages and pages of recipes on this site. It's fun to read them, fun to make them, and even more fun to eat them. So brew yourself a cup of coffee, sit down, and...
ENJOY!

He thought he'd died and gone to heaven.

Moules á la Crème Normand all gone. He even spooned up all the rich sauce.
